Using Adobe Photoshop & InDesign - I designed a book jacket for Adolfo Bioy Casares' famous novel, "The Invention of Morel," with the goal to creating a visually appealing design that effectively communicates the theme of the book.
"The Invention of Morel" is a novel about a fugitive who flees from civilization to live out his remaining days on a secluded island. He documents his experiences in a diary, recounting the unexpected arrival of tourists, and his interactions with a woman named Faustine.

Design Approach
The main focal point of my design consists of a silhouette man approaching a silhouette woman who seems to be dancing on the island to convey the idea of the fugitive growing affections towards Faustine. To match the book's mysterious and eerie atmosphere, I used a subdued palette of gray and blue tones. I also incorporated a ripped torn-paper effect, underlining the fugitive's diary entries’ narratives throughout the novel.
